A new business network is paving the way for Norwegian technology in land-based aquaculture to enter the North American market. The network, NACA (Norwegian Aquaculture in America), consists of five companies: MAT-KULING AS, Simona Stadpipe AS, Helland Silosystem AS, Silikal Nordvest AS, and Dynamic FishEye.
The companies cover the entire value chain for land-based aquaculture, from water treatment and pipe transport to feed logistics and monitoring. This makes the network well-equipped to deliver solutions to existing fish farmers and new land-based aquaculture projects across North America. The companies see potential for collaboration in marketing, contracts, R&D projects, and expansion into new areas.
The first joint project will be participation in the RasTech Conference and Exhibition in San Diego, California, during the first week of June.

“We will now leverage our combined expertise and experience to inform decision-makers among fish farmers and advisors through presentations, Lunch and Learn sessions, and company visits in Norway and abroad, where we can demonstrate 2025-level RAS technology as a secure method for farming, including food fish,”
Bjørn Dorum, Chairman and Owner of MAT-KULING.
The business network is supported by Innovation Norway. The aim of the three-year project is to strengthen and solidify Norway’s position in land-based aquaculture technology. Expanding the export of aquaculture technology is a national goal outlined in the government’s export strategy. The NACA business network seeks to play a key role in opening new markets for Norwegian technology.
Several of the companies are already established with personnel and resources in the North American market and maintain strong cooperation with Innovation Norway’s international offices. The companies bring years of experience from land-based aquaculture projects both in Norway and abroad. Now, through this joint effort, they aim to increase value creation and gain insights that other Norwegian suppliers can benefit from.
