MAT-KULING has signed an important agreement with Group Sagun as part of the realization of Türkiye’s largest recirculating aquaculture system (RAS) production facility project.
The signing ceremony brought together representatives from Türkiye’s fisheries and aquaculture administration, Group Sagun, and MAT Group, marking an important step in the development of this major aquaculture investment.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Hüseyin Akbaş, Deputy General Director of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye; Bülent Canatan, İzmir Provincial Branch Director of Fisheries and Aquaculture of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of the Republic of Türkiye; Tuncay Sagun, Chairman of the Board of Group Sagun; Oğulcan Sagun, Vice Chairman of Group Sagun; Erdem Akartepe, Founder of MAT Group; Gökhan Birlikçi, General Manager of MAT Global; and Taner Bilgiç, General Manager and CTO of MAT-KULING.
The project represents an important development for land-based aquaculture in Türkiye, with recirculating aquaculture technology playing a central role in the efficient management and reuse of water within intensive production facilities.
MAT-KULING is pleased to contribute its RAS engineering and water treatment expertise to the project and to collaborate with Group Sagun in its implementation.
