Kilic Fisheries Hatchery Scope of Work
Implementation of new LSS equipment for hatchery and growing tanks. Kılıç Deniz Ürünleri produces and exports different types of saltwater fish such as Mediterranean Sea Bream, Mediterranean Sea Bass, Meager, Rainbow Trout and Bluefin Tuna. With a harvestable fish production capacity of more than 45,000 tons per year, it is considered one of the leading companies in the sector, both in Turkey and Europe.
Kılıç commissioned MAT-KULING to handle the implementation of this project. The equipment was installed at their newly hatchery established in the city of Bodrum, in the southwestern Aegean region of Turkey. The project was composed of automated protein skimmers for juvenile and large fish breeding which allowed to closely monitor and control the system conditions at the same time that it maximized production efficiency. Kılıç is another notable reference to MAT-KULING aquaculture projects in Turkey.

MAT-KULING provided equipment design, manufacturing, supply, installation and commissioning in conjunction with technical training to the operation staff of the facility.
Recirculating Aquaculture Equipment
The commissioned equipment was composed of 6 fully automated protein skimmers. The units consisted of three PS-2000 models while the others of three PS-500 models with skimmer flow rates of 358 m³/h and 11 m³/h respectively. All protein skimmer units carry MAT’s uniquely engineered Venturi, which allows infusing the correct balanced amount of Oxygen and Ozone inside the protein skimmer body. Additionally, each skimmer comprised a set of accessories, valves, pumps, and instruments.
